OK, taking *another* stab at French

Boy we are bad at sticking with French! I own two curricula and numerous unhelpful books. There is so little info out there about ACE's French program (and it's so expensive) that I'm scared to move forward with it. So, has anyone used (or have any info on) French Essentials, out of Quebec? The price is right, and it looks more student-driven than the other ones we tried, but who knows?!

Thanks again for any input.

Jennifer

(On the other hand, my son went off to grade 9 at our local public high school this Fall and is now getting 85% in French no thanks to me so maybe I'm overly concerned. Then again, I think neglecting French makes me feel like a bad Canadian - I mean, I did French immersion for goodness' sake - lol!)

I'm not familiar with that program, but have you looked at L'Art de Lire from Nallenart? It is working well for us.
